GMN Precision Angular Contact Bearings

Spindle ball bearings are the first choice when it comes to the highest demands on precision, speed stability, and service life. For decades, GMN has been developing specialized solutions for high-performance applications in machine tools, medical technology, aviation, and automation.

Our bearings meet the highest standards of axial rigidity, smooth running , and thermal stability – and enable reliable rotation even at speeds exceeding 2 million mm/min (n·dm).

S DESIGN

GMN offers a broad product range in the S series in regards to dimensions, suitable RPM and load capabilities.

  • Standard spindle bearings

  • High RPM suitability and rigidity

  • High cost-efficiency and reliability

  • Standard contact angles of 15° and 25°

  • Reference RPM factor n x dm = 1.7 x 106 mm/min

  • High load rating

  • Also available as hybrid ball bearings

SM DESIGN

The GMN SM series offers nearly 20% higher RPMs due to its optimized internal geometry as compared to the S series.

  • Optimized internal ring lubrication for high RPMs

  • High service life due to minimized friction

  • High operating safety with temperature influence due to high radial bearing clearance

  • High radial clearance for high-speed applications

  • Low operating temperature due to low friction

  • Standard contact angles depending on internal diameter are 15°, 17° or 19°

  • Reference RPM factor n x dm = 2.0 x 106 mm/min

  • Also available as hybrid ball bearings

KH DESIGN

The GMN KH series provides outstanding characteristics in regards to RPM, life expectancy and cost-effectiveness thanks to its optimized bearing geometry.

  • Sealed: with grease life lubrication (standard lubrication Lubcon HS Turmogrease L252 or customer-specific greasing)

  • Open: for oil lubrication

  • Optimized for highest speeds

  • Low operating temperature due to optimized raceway geometry

  • High operational safety with temperature influence due to high radial bearing clearance

  • Optimized ratio of the number of balls and the ball diameter to the load rating

  • Optimized internal geometry regarding grease space and oil lubrication

  • Standard contact angles are 15°, 17° and 25°

  • No speed reduction thanks to non-contact seals (seals are temperature-stable up to 120 °C)

  • No grease outlet for vertical or inclined installation position

  • Reduced grease desiccation due to ventilation

  • Saves additional sealing elements

  • Less sensitive to assembly site contamination

  • Reference speed factor n x dm = 2.1 x 106 mm/min

  • Also available as hybrid ball bearings
